Saint Paul de Vence is a small fortified city high above Antibes, a rocky promontory. Like many of these fortified places, they were circular and guarding ramparts with loopholes through which you can see far below terraced gardens planted with lemon and olive trees. In the distance, the sea illuminates the entire landscape.
This is an intriguing walk through Saint-paul de Vence! Along narrow cobbled streets, charming old stone houses with hanging flowers in their windows, small boutiques full of local products: honey, olives, jams, soap, and Provencal fabrics, everything is arranged in delightful harmony. In small workshops, you can talk to artists and get acquainted with their work.
Wandering the streets of Saint-paul de Vence you can get to one of the most famous hotels on the Cote d'Azur: "L'Auberge De La Colombe d'Or", where a beautiful shady terrace awaits you, here you can taste wonderful and delicious, local cuisine and enjoy the enchanting landscape of the surrounding countryside.
